Course details

Content This course provides students with the opportunity to combine theory and practice, to learn about planning and realisation and to become familiar with materials used in architectural processes. Students will present their own design, which will be assessed with respect to its utilisability and its manual/technical practicability. Producing their own work will ensure that students acquire a conscious attitude towards the materials used. Objective The objective of this course is to allow students to get acquainted with fundamental methods of manually working with construction materials. Decisions made during the process of planning design and construction will be translated to the level of architectural reality by building one’s own prototype. A check on all practically implemented ideas will deliver the required feedback Annotation The assessment of the seminar takes place after submission of the shop drawing (usually 2-3 weeks after the end of the workshop week)
